Getting Involved
Advocates
Program
To be a DVRP volunteer or bilingual advocate you need to participate
in a 40+ hour advocates training, which DVRP offers twice a year.
Volunteer advocates work mainly with English-speaking survivors and
are not required to provide services during regular business hours.
Bilingual advocates work with limited English proficient survivors
and are required to be available on an on-call basis during regular
business hours. Our advocates work with survivors by providing social
service support, which encompasses activities like peer counseling,
accompaniment to court, and interpretation assistance. Please fill
out application in Microsoft Word, save and email to apply@dvrp.org.
