DVRP needs your help!
DVRP's Advocates Program provides training for community members to become bilingual advocates for survivors of domestic violence. Bilingual advocates work one-on-one with survivors to provide peer support, information on legal, social service and health resources, translation and interpretation services, safety planning and risk assessment, and more. Bilingual advocates will be dedicating five full weekends to go through an intensive training starting April 24th. Please support DVRP's bilingual advocates in making a difference in the Asian Pacific American community.
DVRP's Community Outreach Program trains Community Outreach Volunteers to help spread the word about DVRP's services into the many difference API communities in DC/MD/VA. And every summer, DVRP holds a Community Leader's Institute designed for API leaders who want to learn more about domestic violence and become a resource in their community.
