COURAGE TO SURVIVE ... A Monologue Show

 

Strength. Empowerment. Survival.

Approximately 41-61% of Asian women report experiencing physical and/or sexual violence by an intimate partner during their lifetime.  Join us on May 18th at DVRP's monologue show that highlights real stories of survivors of domestic violence. All the performers are advocates or survivors.  The monologues shared are true experiences of Asian/Pacific Islander survivors in our communities.

*Suggested Donation: $10.  All proceeds will go towards supporting survivors.

Development/Board Liaison Intern PDF Print E-mail

DVRP is currently searching for a development/board liaison intern to support the work of its Board of Directors. This position will assist with grant writing, fundraising, board development and administrative tasks.

Tasks include:

· Drafting and proofreading grant proposals (local, state and federal)

· Searching for potential funding opportunities

· Contributing to the development of potential donor email lists

· Assisting in the development of a Board of Directors training manual

· Participating in creative brainstorming sessions about fundraising with DVRP’s Board of Directors

· Attending monthly Board of Directors meetings (generally on Sunday afternoons)

Note: This is an unpaid internship and begins in May/June until August 2012. College credit can be provided depending on the requirements of your university. Remote work is an option for this internship.

Job Requirements:

Candidates should have impeccable written and oral communications skills.  Preferred candidates will have experience in fundraising, grant writing, writing and editing.
