Join the Mending Circle Program

Imagine being part of a strong network of Asian/Pacific Islander women, LGBTQ+ individuals, and families who are dedicated to breaking the cycle of harm through collective action. With this program, you’ll have a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact in the lives of survivors who need that extra support—sometimes, all someone needs is a friend to be there for them.

This program will bring together a group of 15 Asian/Pacific Islander domestic violence survivors and 15 volunteers for a year-long journey. They will work together to learn DVRP’s anti-violence curriculum and strengthen survivor’s personal care networks.

Volunteer Opportunities

  • Join DVRP’s Board of Directors. We're looking for new members for DVRP's Board! If you’re energetic and passionate with 3-5 years in fiscal management, accounting, non-profit admin, development, fundraising, or grant writing, we want you on board! Click here to learn more.

  • Language Volunteer. Do you speak an Asian/Pacific Islander language? We need language advocates to help with interpretation for survivors and translate materials. If you're interested in working with survivors, you'll need to complete an advocate's orientation.

  • Offer Pro-Bono Services. DVRP is also seeking professional volunteers! If you have skills in legal services, financial management, counseling, graphic design, or evaluation, we’d love your help.

Other Ways to Give

  • Support a Survivor. Your donations make a huge difference! DVRP relies on generous individuals like you to support our work. Did you know less than 1% of philanthropic dollars go to the Asian/Pacific Islander community, even though it’s the fastest-growing ethnic group in the U.S.? Be part of the change—donate today and help a survivor!

  • In-Kind Donations. Most survivors we work with are immigrants, low-income, and have limited English skills. We accept in-kind donations like international calling cards and pre-loaded Smartrip cards for bus/metro. We currently don’t take material donations like clothing right now. Send your in-kind donations to: A/PI DVRP, PO Box 14268, Washington, DC 20044.
